Manifold Layout
Fully staffed engineering offices are located
in Hamburg and Tucker that include CAD
design and modeling capability, elastic and
non-linear finite element analysis programs,
modal analysis software, bellows design
software conforming to the Standards of the
Expansion Joint Manufacturers Association
and a variety of other design tools.
In addition to the analytical tools available
to our engineers, the company has testing
facilities that include bellows testing,
metallurgical and non-destructive testing
including radiographic and ultrasonic
inspection. Two engine test cells rated to 900 horsepower for gasoline and diesel
engines are located in Hamburg which are
fully instrumented for temperature, pressure
and flow measurement as well as the
dynamometer measurements of speed and
horsepower. High speed camera equipment
is available to analyze product movements
which can be used in the tests cells, or
transported to customer's facilities.
Flexible Metal's engineering staff specializes
in working with the customers from the start
of the design concept through production to
develop designs that meet or exceed
performance requirements while utilizing the
most economical materials and efficient
production methods.
