Applications
Metal bellows-type expansion joints manufactured by Flexible Metal, Inc. are used in applications
requiring the absorption of dimensional changes such as those caused by thermal expansion or
contraction in pipe-lines, ducts, or vessels and their components. The primary users of
such expansion joints include industrial processing facilities such as utilities, power
generation installations, petroleum refineries, and pulp/paper mills. Shipbuilding and
marine power industries are also significant users of industrial expansion joints supplied by FMI.
